I don't travel much. According to most people on OkCupid, that means I'm an incomplete person, but I just think it means I haven't had the time or money to do it.
Most of my flights in the last few years have been between New York and Florida, where my parents live. Not exciting, I know, but I've become a master at packing the makeup I need into a little sandwich baggie nonetheless. I also became a master of continuing to carry my makeup in a sandwich baggie on a day-to-day basis, months after flying. That's a really stupid thing to be a master of.
Inevitably, the baggie seal would unlock or the plastic would stretch over time, and I'd find eyeliner and lipstick marks all over the linings of my favorite handbags. So in the last couple of years, I've made having a really great makeup bag a priority.
Right now, I'm kind of obsessed with the Cinda B Vertical Cosmetic bag. It's a soft, quilted case with a handle, and it stands upright on your vanity, or in my case, on the floor.
It comes in a bunch of patterns, but I love the retro Ravinia. Something about it just reminds me of '70s tennis.
So, how about you? QQ: What do you carry your makeup in? A pretty case? A plastic bag? Do you just throw it in a purse all willy-nilly?
