I was feeling an emotion this morning, so I decided to wear an eyeliner color other than black, brown or gray. I reached for my Sephora + Pantone Universe Emerald Graphic Sculpt Jumbo Waterproof Eyeliner. Reaching alone does not an eye line, so I did the whole cap-removing and applying thing.
I liked how the color looked, but I felt like my eyes weren't quite defined enough for my liking, so I took the Too Faced 3-Way Lash Lining Tool, which is basically a tiny trident of black liquid liner, to fill in the spaces between my lashes. I then went over it with the Emerald again, to really seal it all in.
When I arrived at work, I saw that Miss Madeline was also wearing green eyeliner for no reason other than feeling like it. Or maybe because it's JFK's birthday. JFK ---> Irish ---> green?
Anyway, after I pointed out the coincidence in a Mrs. Doubtfire-esque falsetto, she said, "I layered over black eyeliner."
"Me, toooooooo!" I said, in an even more annoying pitch. Turns out she had the same idea I did, using NYC Liquid Eyeliner in black to get a defined shape close to the lash line before applying LA Splash Lid Splash in Golden Sea. So now we know, in a battle between LA and NYC, LA literally comes out on top. (I know, I'm not happy about it either.)
And come to think of it, I'm pretty sure Hannah wore a couple different liner colors simultaneously when she was in New York a few weeks ago.
How about you? QQ: Do you ever layer eyeliner? Which ones?
(And by the way, that Pantone eyeliner appears to be sold out, but Sephora's Jumbo Liner 12HR Wear Waterproof in Green seems to be a pretty good match.)
